How Does Fish Oil Work


To understand more about fish oil and how it can help your body you need to look at your whole body from the cellular level.  The membrane or covering of each cell in our body is made up of fatty acids including omega 3, 6, 9, and others… To have optimal cell function the ratio of omega fatty acids should be a 1 to 1 ratio of each of these omega fatty acids. Unfortunately, those of us whom consume the typical western diet high in breads, dairy, and deep-fried food have shifted our ratios to an astonishing 20 to 1 ratio.  This ratio is high in omega 6 and 9 fatty acids and very low in omega 3 fatty acids. Fish oil is loaded with omega 3 fatty acids which helps balance out our deficiency and help achieve the essential 1 to 1 ratio required to properly absorb nutrition and prevent disease. 


What Happens When Our Cells Are Not In Balance?
